Dr. Milica Vušurović and Dr. Danica Stevović, pediatricians whom many families have trusted with their children’s health for years, are now permanent members of the pediatric team at Milmedika Porto Montenegro.

Dr. Milica Vušurović

Dr. Milica Vušurović is a pediatrics specialist with experience providing both inpatient and outpatient care to children of all ages.

She completed part of her residency training at the Institute for Children’s Diseases of the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), followed by training at the University Children’s Hospital Tiršova in Belgrade. She continued working as a pediatrics specialist in the Department of Pediatrics at General Hospital Kotor.

Her work focuses particularly on:

• preventive and routine pediatric checkups;
• monitoring a child’s growth and development;
• early developmental assessments;
• diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pediatric conditions;
• advising parents on nutrition, breastfeeding, and child care;
• encouraging healthy habits and recognizing developmental concerns early.

Dr. Vušurović has also completed additional training in breastfeeding support, vaccination, and early childhood development. She served as an educator and trainer in UNICEF’s Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.

She received the Best Pediatrician of 2025 Award through the Sebamed competition, based on votes from patients and their parents.

Dr. Danica Stevović

Dr. Danica Stevović is a pediatrics specialist with many years of experience in pediatric care and supporting families throughout the Bay of Kotor.

In her professional work, she is especially committed to preventive care, immunization, parent education, and a responsible approach to treatment.

She led the pediatric primary care team at the Tivat Primary Health Care Center, which recorded the lowest antibiotic prescribing rate in primary health care in Montenegro during 2023 and 2024. This achievement highlights the importance of using antibiotics appropriately and assessing each child’s health individually, especially during periods when viral infections are widespread.

She has also made a significant contribution to Montenegro’s health care system through her many years as director of the Tivat Primary Health Care Center.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Stevović has participated in educational programs for children, adolescents, and parents on:

• healthy nutrition;
• emotional resilience;
• eating disorders;
• immunization;
• internet addiction;
• tobacco use prevention.
