
Dr. Goran Marković
Pediatrics and pulmonology specialist
Dr. Goran Marković is a medical doctor, pediatric and pulmonary specialist, with a subspecialty in cystic fibrosis. He has built his professional expertise over many years of work in leading healthcare institutions across Montenegro and Serbia, with a particular focus on diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases in children.
Education
- Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad in 2003.
- Completed his specialization in pediatrics in 2009 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. During his residency, he trained at the Institute for Children’s Diseases, Clinical Center of Montenegro, and at the University Children's Hospital in Belgrade (Tiršova).
- Earned his subspecialty in pulmonology in 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, after passing his final exam and defending a thesis in the field of cystic fibrosis. His subspecialty training took place at the Clinic for Pulmonology, University Clinical Centre of Serbia, and at the Institute for Health Care of Mother and Child of Serbia "Dr. Vukan Čupić," under the mentorship of Professor Dr. Predrag Minić.
Professional experience
- Worked at the Primary Health Care Center Podgorica in 2003.
- In 2004, joined the Emergency Medical Service Institute of Montenegro.
- From 2004 to 2020, he worked at the Institute for Children’s Diseases, Clinical Center of Montenegro, across the intensive care unit and the pulmonology department.
- Between 2009 and 2020, he was also engaged as a teaching associate in the subject of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro.
