Pulmonology

Our pulmonology clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic tools for assessing lung health, including body plethysmography—the most accurate method for measuring lung capacity and airflow. These tests help detect respiratory issues early and provide precise monitoring of lung conditions, allowing for timely and effective treatment.

Advanced lung function testing

We offer a variety of tests to evaluate lung function and diagnose respiratory conditions:

  • Spirometry – Measures how much air you can inhale and exhale, as well as how quickly you breathe. It is a key test for diagnosing asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • Lung diffusion capacity test – Assesses how well the lungs transfer oxygen into the bloodstream, which is essential for diagnosing pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease.
  • Body plethysmography – Accurately measures total lung volume, including the air remaining in the lungs after exhaling. This test helps detect airway obstruction and assess lung overinflation, which is common in asthma and emphysema.
  • Respiratory muscle strength tests – Evaluate the strength of the muscles involved in breathing, often used to diagnose neuromuscular disorders.
  • Bronchodynamic testing – Assesses how the airways respond to exercise or bronchodilator medication, helping determine the severity and type of airway obstruction.
  • Oxygen saturation monitoring – A non-invasive test that measures oxygen levels in the blood, providing real-time insights into lung function for patients of all ages.

Diagnosing COPD and other chronic lung diseases

COPD is a progressive lung disease that makes breathing difficult and affects daily life. It is often caused by long-term exposure to harmful substances like cigarette smoke, dust, and chemicals. Early diagnosis through lung function testing allows for better disease management. Based on test results, doctors can develop a personalized treatment plan that may include inhalers, anti-inflammatory medications, and, in severe cases, long-term oxygen therapy to improve breathing.

Allergy testing

We also offer a full range of allergy tests, including:

  • Blood tests for food and airborne allergens
  • Skin tests for airborne allergens

Continuous advancements in lung diagnostics

We are continuously improving our diagnostic services. Soon, we plan to introduce sleep studies and exercise testing, further enhancing our ability to diagnose and treat lung conditions according to the latest medical standards.
