Dr. Predrag Matić is a vascular surgery specialist with extensive clinical, teaching, and research experience. He works at the Clinic for Vascular Surgery at the Dedinje Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases in Belgrade. He is also an assistant professor of vascular surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and Secretary of the Department of Vascular Surgery.

His work focuses on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of arterial and venous disease, with particular expertise in aortic and carotid surgery, the treatment of vascular graft infections, endovascular procedures, and modern surgical treatment for chronic venous disease and varicose veins.

At the Dedinje Institute, he is recognized as one of the key physicians in the development of modern, minimally invasive treatment for venous disease. In April 2019, he performed the institution’s first endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) procedure and was later appointed lead educator for its future training program in laser treatment of venous disease.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Matić is actively involved in teaching and mentoring young doctors, as well as in research. He has published numerous professional and scientific papers on vascular graft infections, carotid disease, and complex vascular surgery, reflecting his strong ongoing commitment to both patient care and academic work.
