Milmedika

Dr. Emir Muzurović, an internal medicine and endocrinology specialist, is dedicated to diagnosing and treating endocrine disorders, bringing extensive academic and clinical experience to his work. He was born in 1981 in Bijelo Polje.

Education

• Earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro, in 2007.
• Completed his specialization in internal medicine in 2013 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
• Subspecialized in endocrinology in 2017 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
• Currently pursuing a PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro, working on his dissertation.

Professional experience

• Completed his internship at the Primary Health Care Center in Podgorica from 2007 to 2008.
• Worked as a general practitioner in the Emergency Medical Service of the Primary Health Care Center in Podgorica from 2008 to 2009.
• Since 2009, he has been part of the Department of Endocrinology at the Internal Medicine Clinic, Clinical Center of Montenegro.
• Completed clinical training at the Clinic for Internal Medicine and the Clinic for Endocrinology in Belgrade (2012–2013, 2015–2017).
• Served as a teaching associate for Pathophysiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro, from 2008 to 2010.
• Since 2017, he has been a teaching associate for Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro.

Additional training and education

• Completed training in endocrinology and diabetology at Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell in New York in 2016.
• Attended multiple training programs in internal medicine and endocrinology in Salzburg, Austria, as part of the AAF program.
• Specialized in neuroendocrine tumors at Akademiska Sjukhuset in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2017.
• Received additional training in insulin pump therapy at the University Clinical Centre of Serbia in Belgrade in 2017.
• Attended specialized training in adrenal gland disorders at KBC Rebro in Zagreb in 2019.
• Completed a study visit and training in adrenal tumors at Cochin Hospital in Paris in 2019.

Dr. Muzurović has published numerous papers in prestigious international journals (Q1, Q2) indexed in global databases. He is also a reviewer for esteemed journals, including:
