Dr. Maja Raičević

Dr. Maja Raičević is a pediatric specialist and subspecialist in endocrinology. Since 2015, she has been dedicated to the treatment of children and adolescents, with a particular focus on endocrine disorders and diabetes. In addition to her clinical work, she actively participates in international scientific research projects and educational programs.

Education

Graduated in 2014 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro.
Completed her pediatric residency at the Institute for Mother and Child "Dr. Vukan Čupić" in Belgrade and passed her board exam 2020 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
Subspecialized in endocrinology in 2023 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.

Professional training

Attended the ISPAD Science School for Physicians organized by the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes in Prague in 2022.
Attended the ESPE Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism (DOM) School in 2022.
Participated in the Winter School of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) in 2023.
Awarded the Allan Drash Clinical Fellowship, which will allow her to further specialize in pediatric diabetology and endocrinology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), USA, in May and June 2024.
Completed an accredited course in thyroid ultrasound in Belgrade.

Professional experience

After completing her internship in 2015, she began working at the Institute for Children's Diseases of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, first as a clinical physician and later as a pediatric resident.
Actively participates in international scientific research projects, collaborating with scientists from leading global and European institutions. Her research focuses on pediatric endocrinology and diabetes.
Published numerous scientific papers in respected international journals and serves as a reviewer for prominent medical publications.

European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE).
International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), where she served as the 2022 ISPAD JENIOUS Group Ambassador.
