Milmedika

Dr. Mirko Šebek, is a pulmonology specialist with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating lung diseases. He has worked in healthcare institutions throughout Montenegro for many years.

Education

• Completed secondary education at the Gymnasium in Bijelo Polje.
• Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, in 2004.
• Specialized in pulmonology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, completing his studies in 2011.

Professional experience

• Began his career as a general practitioner at the Primary Health Care Center in Bijelo Polje, working there from 2004 to 2005.
• Spent the following year working in Emergency Medical Services.
• From 2006, pursued specialization at the Center for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis within the Primary Health Care Center in Bijelo Polje.
• After completing his specialization in 2011, he worked as a pulmonology specialist at the same center and led the department from 2011 to 2022.
• Between 2011 and 2022, he provided consultations for the General Hospital in Bijelo Polje, Polyclinic Neuron (since 2017), and the Bijelo Polje Nursing Home (2019–2022).
• Since 2022, he has been employed at the Milmedika Polyclinic in Podgorica.

Memberships and additional engagements

• President of the Association of Pulmonologists of Montenegro from 2014 to 2017.
• Since 2017, he has been leading the Respiratory Association of Montenegro.
• Organized the first, second, and third Regional Summit on Lung Diseases, held between 2017 and 2022.
