Dr. Ivana Miketić

Dr. Ivana Miketić, is internal medicine specialist and hematology subspecialist who is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of hematological disorders. She has extensive clinical experience and has made significant contributions to scientific research.

Education

Earned her medical degree from the Faculty of medicine, University of Montenegro.
Completed her specialization in internal medicine at the Faculty of medicine, University of Belgrade (2012–2018), passing the specialist exam in January 2018 with the highest grade (10).
Completed her hematology subspecialization at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade (2020–2022), successfully passing the subspecialist exam in April 2022 with top marks.

Professional experience

Currently works as a hematology subspecialist at the Center for hematology, Clinical center of Montenegro.
From January 2018 to November 2020, she worked as an internal medicine specialist at the Center for hematology, Clinical center of Montenegro.
From 2012 to 2017, she was a general practitioner at Codra special hospital in Podgorica.
Between 2011 and 2014, she served as a teaching associate in histology and embryology at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica.
From 2010 to 2012, she completed her medical internship at the Primary Health Care Center "Dimitrije-Dika Marenić" in Danilovgrad.

Professional development and scientific contributions

Actively participates in international medical congresses and professional training programs.
Has presented research at numerous scientific conferences.
In August 2008, she took part in a medical student exchange program in Rome, Italy, at the gynecology and obstetrics department of Policlinico Umberto I.
Co-authored research presented at congresses in Sofia and Pleven, Bulgaria (2009).
Attended a ten-day emergency medicine course in Dubrovnik (EMSA Summer School 6) in August 2009 and successfully passed the final exam.
In July 2016, participated in the Salzburg Seminar on Internal Medicine in Austria, where she presented research in endocrinology titled "Thyroid Dermopathy and Acropathy in a Patient with Graves’ Disease."
Successfully completed a plasmapheresis training course (Diapact Application Training) in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in October 2018.
Co-authored the study "Prognostic Impact of Response-Adjusted ISS Score in Multiple Myeloma," presented at the 18th International Myeloma Workshop in Vienna (2021).
Participated in the second EHA-Balkan Hematology Day, organized by the Romanian Hematology Association (October 2021), presenting on new treatment approaches for multiple myeloma in Montenegro.
Presented the study "The significance of genetic mutations in the diagnosis and monitoring of Philadelphia chromosome-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms" at the 5th Congress of Serbian hematologists in Novi Sad (2022).
Currently finalizing her subspecialist thesis on "Response-Adjusted ISS score in patients with multiple myeloma ineligible for transplantation."
